Mother Earth......
(A love sonnet )

Earth’s minions, why will you subjugate her wonder?
For she will not lay silent nor still nor dormant in riposte...
And will appropriation from our own home be this world’s blunder...?
In selfish schemes, oh vacant dreams and capital to boast.

With Pirate brunt a plunder to bounteous soils,
Bereft a topiary cloak, muddy tears erode her wealth....
Synthetic haze garrottes the air, angry orb broils,
Oh black spotted emission, harbinger of ill health.

And so bequeath your modest gifts to a cherished hillside
Scatter seeds to the places laid bare
Then diverse, her life finds bowers of plenty, far and wide
Become her choice, obtain with care...

Stay safe in her branches and treasure this art
Our earth, queen of wonder and nurturing heart.

Beyond Grey and the Midtown Blues

Blue is new and blue is true
Not really grey at all ..
For every day
 In every way
A soft place here to
Fall....

In between the violet storm
and emerald city lights
Clear as day she’s on her way
With cobalt hooded Knights.

Duck-egg yarns knit truth in time
To swaddle hearts in love,
Felted fondly faithful trust
With Sapphire’s dream above...

Mawkish wild and deep sea navy
Azure iris eyes,
See beyond indolent grey
To Ocean’s fluent rise ...

Blue sees color all around
To deepen every shade
Red is scarlet flame and brilliance
Green, a forest made ...

Salute to blue
and you
and you
.....adieu the bitter breeze,
May every morning’s cyan sky
Be our life’s noble deed.
