Mind

There’s this field of flowers in our mind
Cerebellum cereus, bloom of the night
coordinates the muscles to the dance
of a dandelion endurance
Temporal lobed pig’s ears listen to a rush
Of coloured memories or
Dark stained Helebores with that
Sunny centre to get back to hoping and
Wanting a new day.
Navigator beetle in the dung
Shifts through wasted thoughts
Of sad refrain
To a Parietal lobe
Of celestial wonder
In that blue star milk weed
Alert to imagining
Front of the line frontal lobe
Forget me Nots say hello
Pining for a little "see me please"
And "love me dear"
From the occipital looking glass.
Oh mind
Mind what you think
Mind how you feel
Water those thoughtful seeds
With a river of peace
Think a bouquet
Feel the dancing tulip bells
Ringing Harrah
We can push the sky away
Life is here
In the seeds and pods
Sprout me something
New and
Beautiful
That’s real
And deep
And challenging
And alive.
